2-Hour Private Sidecar Tour of Montreal - Details
The MS Private Sidecar Tour is for people wanting to experience Montreal by scooter but do not have a driver’s license or are not confident/comfortable navigating a scooter in traffic. The sidecar has room for 1, but a 2nd person can ride on the back of the Vespa scooter as a passenger with the guide. You can take turns riding in the sidecar by letting the guide know you would like to switch places.
Requirements
No driver’s license or credit card deposit required!
At least 1 participant must be at least 18 years old
Rough Itinerary
Old Montreal
Isle Notre Dame including the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve (F1 track) if open
Plateau
Mount-Royal summit
The tour is slightly customizable. Tell us what you want to see and we'll do our best to accommodate you. If you want to just randomly ride around Montreal for 2 hours while taking photos and videos while you ride, just let the guide know. If you want to visit a particular cafe, pizzeria, smoked-meat restaurant, or any other retail business as part of the tour, that can be arranged.
Scheduling
Because the sidecar makes the scooter almost as wide as a car, it cannot navigate traffic as easily as a scooter without a sidecar. Therefore, we limit departure times to non-rush hour times from Monday to Friday. However, if you want a custom departure time in rush-hour traffic, you can email us to arrange it. Keep in mind that you may be stuck in traffic for some portions of the tour. MS, at its sole discretion, will sometimes extend the tour by up to 15 minutes during these times, but this is not guaranteed.
Departure Times

A custom departure time can be arranged with enough notice

FAQ
Can I rent the sidecar by itself without taking a tour? Riding the sidecar is not as easy as it looks and can be toppled over with one wrong maneuvre. We do not allow renters to ride the sidecar on their own. The sidecar must be driven by one of our guides.
